This wood fired highly textured and facetted Handle Straw Cup holds 12+oz. The functional straw is a hollow part of the piece adding an additional level of complexity to making it. The action from the flame and wood ash in this firing was fantastic on this piece. There is a contrast of the colors and decals used to the deposits of ash, flame, and foul language. The lighter dry coral texture on the foot of the piece is making me think of some new directions to try. It's little scurrying feet might skitter it away!

This wood fired highly textured and facetted Handle Straw Cup holds 12+oz. The straw is a hollow functional part of the piece and adds a level of complexity to making it. The action from the flame and wood ash in this firing was fantastic on this piece. There is a contrast of the colors and decals used to the deposits of ash and flame. The bottom looks like cast iron or bronze but is clay! And I put a bird on it.

The contrast of the colors and decals to the deposits of ash, flame, and vulgarity work well on this piece. The bone white coral texture on the foot of the piece is making me think of some new directions to try.

This wood fired highly textured and facetted star spangled (on the foot) sipper holds 10oz of your favorite beverage. The action from the flame and wood ash in this firing was fantastic. The contrast of the red to the coral texture and deposits of ash, flame, and profanity are a favorite of mine.

Does vulgarity signify a lack of creativity? Sometimes you have to curse as there doesn't seem to be an alternative. This wood fired highly textured and facetted sipper holds 12oz of your favorite beverage. The action from the flame and wood ash in this firing was fantastic. The cnontrast of the flowery decals to the deposits of ash, flame, and profanity are a favorite of mine. It's scurrying feet might skitter it away so grab it while you can!

This wood fired highly textured and facetted sipper holds 10oz of your favorite beverage. This piece got action from the flame and wood ash while the text encourages RESIST!
Cup #36
This wood fired highly textured and facetted sipper holds 8oz of your favorite beverage. This piece got all the action from the flame and wood ash and was one of the best results from the kiln firing. The contrast of the bright orange to the deposits of ash and flame are a favorite of mine.
Vase #4
This 7" X 4" x 4" vase got all the love from the woodfiring. All the textures, glazes, decals, and words got the highlights of flame and ash. Bronze glaze highlights on the shoulder make the viewer question if parts are dust covered cast iron or clay. As with all things 3D the pics don't do the piece justice.

This piece is a second meaning there are slight flaws in the work BUT it is functional. It's weird because I want the work to look like it's cracking and broken but only when I make it so.
