This cone 10 fired porcelain cup with black underglaze holds 11 ounces. The Goo Goo Ga Ga series emphasizes the contrasting divide in our country. Black and white, yes or no, for or against, with little to no compromise. Some are dedicated to regressing by making America great again when empathy for racial and social inequities in our present culture are needed. I’m using contrasts like black and white, coral texture and metal plating, spikes and corrugated surfaces to patch pieces back together. Raised text, embossed by alphabet pasta, spells simple and insensitive words once more commonly heard from children, but in recent years became normal language from uncompromising adults.
