This is from the colorful red, white, and blue Goo Goo Ga Ga series. The series emphasizes the contrasting divide in America. Some Americans are dedicated to regressing by making America great again, when empathy for racial and social inequities in our present culture are needed. This piece incorporates contrasts like black and white, coral texture and text, tubing and cracked clay to patch pieces back together. Raised text, embossed by alphabet pasta, spells simple and insensitive words once more commonly heard from children, but in recent years became normal language from uncompromising adults.
